Ashland Supportive Housing (ASH) is an Ashland based non-profit agency that has been serving the developmentally disabled (DD) population in the Rogue Valley since 1982.  ASH provides housing and direct care support for DD individuals.  Our mission is to support people with disabilities to live a rich, fulfilling, and productive life with dignity and respect. We were established in 1982 and for nearly 30 years we have provided our clients with the best personalized care possible.  We are proud of our work and of the people we serve.

 

News Updates on Current Projects

Wednesday, August 18, 2010,the Job Counsel’s Youth Build program partnered with ASH for a day of volunteer work in the yard of what will be the Respite  Home and the Resource Center.   These volunteers labored to remove tripping hazards from the yard and ASH thanks them for contributing to our clients’ safety.  See the Respite Home page for photos.


Tuesday, May 4, 2010, the Ashland Food Co-op awarded Ashland Supportive Housing a $1,500 grant to help us educate our staff about nutrition, cooking, and cooking for specific health needs.  Thank you Ashland Food Co-op.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010, we had our first cooking class at the community classroom with Chef Jeff Hauptman leading our hands-on experience. Thank you for the grant Ashland Food Co-op, and thank you Jeff for the time you've spent getting to know our needs and teaching us accordingly! See photo below

Upcoming Events:

  • Community meeting: ASH will begin hosting community meetings in the fall. We want your input for developing the programs that will be run out of our resource center for people with disabilities. Individuals and representatives from other organizations and programs are welcome to attend. Dates and times will be announced at the end of August.
