Ashland Supportive Housing & Community Outreach

Ashland Supportive Housing was founded in 1981 and opened the doors to the first group home in 1982. We provide long-term housing and direct care support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

For more than 30 years we have provided our clients with the best personalized care possible. We are proud not only of our work, but also of the people we support.

We have 3 residential homes with 5 bedrooms in each home. We have the ability to support 15 individuals in this manner.

We also serve adults with I/DD living independently through our Community Outreach program, providing supports needed to remain as independent as possible.

In December 2011 ASH Inc. opened a new Bed and Breakfast style Respite Home – Ashwood Inn – for adults with I/DD.The mission of Ashwood Inn is to provide support to sustain and enrich quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities and their families and caregivers.

Every year ASH Inc. clients, residents, board members, friends, volunteers and staff are invited to camp for 4 days and 3 nights. For many, many years ASH Inc. was lucky to be able to use Camp Low Echo, a Girl Scout Camp on Lake of the Woods (pictured in the slide show below). In 2013 ASH Inc. will rent Camp Latgawa, a United Methodist  Camp outside of Lake Creek.

With the cost of everything rising daily, we may not be able to open camp up to as many people as we have in the past. Please help ASH Inc. continue this important tradition by making a donation today.
